So NOT About Sewing...

But I am so excited!! Thanks to my awesome man and wonderful folks, I finally got what I always wanted!
Isn't it BEAUTIFUL? Of course I meant, for the children....NOT! This is definitely me being selfish, but everyone benefits right?
See, they can't stop playing it already. Ms. Priss will begin lessons as soon as it is settled in and tuned.
LOOK how TALL it is! I love that. I did not want something that would be destroyed! This is solid tiger oak people! It was originally a player piano that was converted. See where the big foot paddle used to be? And the mirror is where the roller was. I will be doing some research on this piano to find out more about it.

It needs to be tuned, but sounds really good. At least, by my NON-expert opinion! The tone is nice, not bright at all! It is from Story & Clark, Chicago, IL. There is a place online where you can look up all about your used piano by doing a search on the serial number.

Ok, enough already! My new toy obsession will wear off soon, I'll be back to sewing next week! Until later...

That's a beautiful piano, Lauranie! The best one we ever had was over 100 years old, the tone on it was so mellow and lovely. The newer ones have a sort of twang. Enjoy that new toy!!!

Oh that is so neat. As an adult having grown up with a piano (and taking lessons!) during my entire childhood, know that your children will really appreciate this (hopefully now, as well as when they grow up!)

I hope you are right, jenelisebeth! Our older boys started on the bass guitar and self-taught themselves on an acoustic also. Now they are playing around with the piano and the younger children love it! Having the love of music is such a blessing! Thanks for visiting my blog!!
