Awesome Finds

I had to leave the house. Which, by the way, I don't like to do that often. I will be running around all this week to get things ready for The Boy's first birthday. So I ran out of stamps when sending out already late birthday party invitations, and while I was out I was drawn to this used book store. I love book stores, but haven't been to one in ages. Look what I found!

The first book, Bookshelves & Cabinets is a BIG hint to my awesome man, but I'm not going to push it right away! The second book, Dating FABRICS, looks very interesting and might help with my color and coordinating issues, but I just like to look at the fabrics.

The third book, Better Homes and Gardens 167 Things to Make for Children is from 1975. It is pretty awesome! It has stuff for knitters...

...and crafters, painters, woodworkers...
...and sewers. You know there is SO MUCH MORE! Whenever I get around to making some of them, I'll post the pages too.

But for now, I'll be frantically trying to finish up last minute things for the birthday party. I will also be making a pool cover-up from a tutorial I got last year from Sew, Mama, Sew! I made one last year for my cousin's daughter, and it came out great. And I have another LSU quilt due by the end of next week! Until later...
